Hi, I am Tara Kaur!
Discovering Kundalini Yoga changed my life. The structured series of Kriyas, a combination of postures, breathing and sound with integrated meditations and chanting mantras increased my joy and pleasure in practising yoga.
In the world we are living in, it is essential to be able to connect with inner peace, happiness, and harmony and be in love with who we are. Practising Kundalini Yoga opens up the pathway to our inner self, allowing and recognising that there is so much more depth to a meaningful human experience.
After 25 years of being a primary school teacher, I decided to train as a Kundalini Yoga teacher (level 1) and have been very blessed to have trained at Imagine Academy in Neon, Switzerland under the direction of Hargobind Singh who studied for 34 years directly under Yogi Bhajan.
As a primary school teacher, it was essential to my wellbeing that I managed my stress levels, and emotional health, making sure I took care of my sleep, making sure I laughed every day, and making sure I could breathe and meditate. Life in the fast lane can become all too consuming and overwhelming leading to ‘Burn Out’.
What is Burn Out? How do we recognise it?
Burn Out is a syndrome conceptualised as resulting from chronic workplace stress that has not been successfully managed. It can be characterized by three dimensions:
feelings of energy depletion or exhaustion
Increased mental distance from one’s job, feelings of negativism or cynicism related to one’s job and
reduced professional efficiency.
‘Burn Out’ is what happened to me. I was unaware of its arrival and it took me down very quickly. However, I learned that when you fall rock bottom the only way is up and through self-love and self-care I have managed to turn my low mood around and have risen like a Phoenix.

This qualification is Accredited by The Association for Coaching & NHS Personalised Care Institute.
